Prom Blues

Promblues

It’s prom dress season! While this should mark the beginning of a glamour-filled adventure of trying to find a gorgeous dress, for some, prom season only causes stress and anxiety. Finding “the” dress can be hard! There are so any options…Strapless or one shoulder? Or do I want straps? Do I want jewels? No, those ones are too big, and this dress doesn’t have enough! Is this dress to simple? What about the length, will this even fit me? With all of these questions running through your mind it is hard to relax and have a good time while trying to find a pretty dress. My advice, take a breath, I know, it sounds lame, but I’m serious. Take a deep breath and try to get all of those questions out of your mind. While searching through all of the glitter and jewels, focus only on finding a dress that you know you will be comfortable in. If that means going to seven different stores and trying on sixty different dresses then that is what you have to do! All of your time and effort will be worth it in the end when you find your perfect dress and shine on prom night in a dress that makes you feel comfortable and confident!

Dear GlamourGurl, my brother is following your blog 😉 and I would like to know if you have any advice for him to dress. He is in middle school and usually wears jeans or sweat pants with a tacky shirt. Like right now he is wearing a shirt with a big dollar bill that is worth 1M dollars. So not worth 1M. How can he look is best without looking to extreme or tacky? Thank you.
