Prom Blues

28 Feb

It’s prom dress season! While this should mark the beginning of a glamour-filled adventure of trying to find a gorgeous dress, for some, prom season only causes stress and anxiety. Finding “the” dress can be hard! There are so any options…Strapless or one shoulder? Or do I want straps? Do I want jewels? No, those ones are too big, and this dress doesn’t have enough! Is this dress to simple? What about the length, will this even fit me? With all of these questions running through your mind it is hard to relax and have a good time while trying to find a pretty dress. My advice, take a breath, I know, it sounds lame, but I’m serious. Take a deep breath and try to get all of those questions out of your mind. While searching through all of the glitter and jewels, focus only on finding a dress that you know you will be comfortable in. If that means going to seven different stores and trying on sixty different dresses then that is what you have to do! All of your time and effort will be worth it in the end when you find your perfect dress and shine on prom night in a dress that makes you feel comfortable and confident!

To Cut or Not to Cut?

To Cut or Not to Cut?

That seems to be the real question these days. Many celebrities have recently chopped of their luscious locks. From Jennifer Lawrence to Anne Hathaway and most recently Taylor Swift, it is hard not to cut off your hair if you are a big fan of any of these celebrities. But is short hair the right look for you? If you want to go shorter, it is definitely a popular and current trend, but start off slow. Unless you are very confident that you will look as fabulous with short hair as you do with long hair, start by cutting off only a couple of inches. If you are pleased with the result, next time go shorter. And if you do decide to cut all of your hair off at once and take the risk, remember, if you don’t like it, it will always grow back!

Show Stopping Style

Show Stopping Syle

Going to the theater with my Mom is always a great time! Not only for the show, but also for the chance to dress up for an event. It is fun to treat the event like a red carpet appearance; dressing up, but not too fancy! I recommend nice black pants, with a blazer and nice shirt. A clutch and pearl earrings are always a way to dress up a look. Enjoy the show!
